Just had My First Walkthrough of the New Bluemercury in River North
It's at 356 N Clark St. Get off at Washington or Lake. They just built it brand new earlier this year. I first heard about it because they did their grand opening with The Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago (prnewswire.com/news-releases/boys--girls-clubs-of-chicago-celebrates-grand-opening-of-bluemercurys-river-north-store-with-bluemercury-founder-and-chief-operating-officer-barry-beck-300460540.html) where I volunteer. Since they did that, I figured I'd stop in and check them out.
This place is huge. The lady told me it was like 3,600 square feet. Whatever that means, it means a lot of makeup from all over the world, so many scents and spritzes and candles, all lined up in rows against walls and on counters. They had more than you'd expect from a place that just sells makeup. I mean, they had a place doing treatments and some sort of interactive mirror, and it was really interesting. Without photos though, unfortunately I can't do the walkthrough much justice. Here are a few links to articles that have pics or further descriptions of this place.

It's worth stopping into just for the pleasant smells alone, if you wanna get that city smell out of your nostrils for a bit. It's very nice, something of interest to everyone, woman, man or child.
